The Firefox folktale

This project was 4 weeks long and completed in my last year at university. The project was to create a wordless concertina picture book to tell the story of The Firefox from a Finnish folktale. It tells the story of fox whose tail is lost in a hunter’s trap, he runs through the woods in despair looking to the stars he cries out. A star takes pity on him and sends him a new tail made of stardust, he’s so happy he dances through the woods flicking his tail up towards the sky and out of his tail shoots the northern lights !
